Class cost: $550 per student (+ applicable range fees payable to host on Day 1 at $45/day for cost of renting the bay out, etc.)

Course Description

The Injured, But Not Out course is a two-day program that was created out of necessity to help fill the void of injured shooter programs that are seldom taught in academies or in-service training. Students will learn to employ the handgun and carbine while problem solving different simulated injuries. Students will learn the mechanics of injured shooter applications, injured shooter principles, human behavior and injury treatment. Students will be introduced to injury treatment, med workshop, injured shooter applications and live fire instruction. This is not a beginner course, days will be long come physically and mentally prepared.

Bryan Veliz began his career as a state law enforcement officer with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 as an active patrol officer for several years. As a Patrol Officer within his first two years on the job he was assigned as a member of the agency’s Special Response Team where he was responsible for instructing firearms training and qualifications.

While serving as a patrol officer Bryan attended numerous training courses on his own time regarding the fundamentals, mechanics, and safety standards of firearm programs.

Bryan continues to serve in law enforcement while being the founder and lead instructor with Slytac Training Solutions, LLC before joining forces with Centrifuge Training, LLC as a full-time instructor for two years. While with Centrifuge he was responsible as a lead instructor for various programs, VCQB, injured shooter & low light applications along with managing the database and creating or revamping material.

After leaving Centrifuge Training to pursue Slytac Training full-time. Bryan continues to serve as a training cadre for his department and continues to attend numerous training courses throughout the year.

Additionally Bryan is an Endorsed Instructor by Modern Samurai Project, LLC.

INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT LIST
  • Handgun with at least 3 magazines & 800 rounds of ammunition
  • Holster must attach via the belt (paddle holsters are not allowed). Holsters must provide an active or passive retention device and be able to keep the holster in place while running or moving in and out of awkward positions. No SERPA or Vanguard type holsters.
  • Carbine with sling & 600 rounds of ammunition. Carbine needs to be zeroed prior to class.
  • CAT or SOFTT-W TQ on your person is mandatory an IFAK is recommended.
  • Consumables – Two packages of regular gauze, chest seal pack and pressure dressing
  • Magazine Pouches
  • Ear and eye protection
  • Cleaning kit and gun lube
  • Long sleeve shirt, gloves, knee pads are mandatory
  • Full duty belt / tactical loadout (your normal work setup).
  • Notepad, pen and perm marker
  • Water and snacks

COURSE PREREQUISITES
  • THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS CLASS
  • U.S. Citizen & able to legally carry a firearm
  • Able to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during courses of fire
  • Previous intermediate to advanced firearms training to include courses of fire where movement, barricades, working around others, communicating and adverse shooting positions were addressed
