There are several 1911 specific websites and they tend to be full of bad info from gun fondlers beating their chests about “50 flawless rounds” and “idiot marks” like guns were faberge eggs instead of tools.
Hard no for all these reasons. The 1911 content already on PF is just fine.

Actually, I think it may already be a bit overdone. This morning, nine of the ten most recently active threads relate to 1911s, 2011s or Staccatos.

The ultimate horror - The Platypus - a 1911 in 9 mm that uses Glock Magazines. Two guys in my club are shooting them. They seem to like them and like to chase new guns.

There ought to be a law against such matings!

I saw one the other day. I did not know the owner well enough to ask to shoot it but it feels odd in the hand. Very boxy and the standard grip texture isn't very grippy.

How much is too much and how much is just right?

People discuss what interests them at the moment. Right now if might be 1911/2011. A few years ago it was the Beretta 92, the HK LEM had it's moment before that.

It might not be in your personal lane. But, it all constitutes that pistolcraft shit we're supposed to be about.

Please advise the proper diversity, equity and inclusion ratio needed so we don't trigger your platform sensitivity.

Even with the current interest, there's really not enough post to require a specialist section.
