    Well, that's just stupid. Reminds me of out-of-production HK's,

    That’s a nice price for that revolver..
    For what it’s worth, in the summer of 1980, my dad bought his brand new blue Security-Six 4”* for $175.00 at Freedom Hardware in Freedom CA, just outside Salinas.
    According to the BLS CPI inflation calculator, the 2024 equivalent is $647.93.

    * I’ll post a pic Soon™️ .

    Are we doing inflation pricing? My first really cool handgun was a new, production overrun NY-1 S&W 64, bead blast and DAO, with lock up tighter than a frog’s asshole. I paid $269 for that thing, and I’m pretty sure an NY-1 in that condition has more than kept up with inflation.

    The Speed Six in question has a 156 serial number prefix, making it a 1981 revolver. According to Lex Luthier’s computation, I’m selling this one for $100 less than fair price…lol!

    May I ask which product number is that sight? I just tried to go through XS's web page, and I couldn't find it.

    If I ever get my Speed Six running again (yeah, ultra rugged and reliable, nothing ever goes wrong with these... So OF COURSE mine breaks), a nicer solution for a visible front sight than just fingernail polish might be in order. (Besides, orange fingernail polish disappears from sight against a tan cardboard target at dusk.)

    RV-003N-4V It’s labeled for SP101 and J frame pistols, but it’s the height of the Speed Six front ramp sight. It hits spot on, and glows crazy bright.

    It’s priced like a J frame, so I’m going to lose my shirt at this point. Additionally, it’s a great carry revolver.
