Scored a MINT Ruger Speed Six!

2.75” of pure cast iron. It’s heavy, but it recoils lightly with the six magnum rounds I put through it. Dead on a 7 yards, even though I can’t see the front sight yet.

I was issued the same revolver as a rookie probation/parole officer.

    Congrats @FrankB ! Nice!

I hear you on the sights. I use a lot of Orange Traffic Cone fingernail polish on mine.

ETA While I’ve searched for an affordable 2.5” M19 forever, this will fit that role nicely.

Keep this one. It’s the perfect length.

I want to say that the replacement tritium sights for the SP-101 will fit the Speed- and Service-Six, as well as the original fixed sight GP-100's. they sure do look the same, but heights might be different.
