I never figured out why Dodge put a 2 bbl on a V8. I had a 73 PU with 360 I think with a 2 bbl. I guess they thought it was more MPG. I replaced it with a 4 bbl and got better performance and better mileage. Just had to use a lighter foot.

My uncle bought a new Polara coupe (383) when I was in HS, 65 maybe. My cousin and I took it out for a spin. There wasn't anything in my neighborhood that quick.

    1953 Dodge Power Wagon

This Power Wagon is equipped with a Willock Swivel Frame that separates the front and rear halves of the chassis, allowing the sections to move independently and minimizing the likelihood that the frame and cab will crack during heavy use or when navigating uneven surfaces. Created by the owner of the Willock Truck Equipment Company of Vancouver, Canada, in the early 1950s and originally priced at $350, the Swivel Frame was designed for medium- and heavy-duty trucks but was also used on lighter one-ton trucks in areas with rugged terrain, such as in the logging roads of the Pacific Northwest.

Given the size & power of “Ivan”, we must now … and ever be Vigilant.
