Thread: If I had a million dollars...

If I had a million dollars...

I would produce an aluminum or stainless frame for the Ruger 22/45 but make it as 1911-like as possible. Checkered front strap, beavertail, magwells, and of course any 1911 grip you want to use. I see a few metal options out there but they largely miss the mark and don't have the 1911 in mind at all. I actually can't believe some of the companies went through such the effort and still came out with such abominations. I could buy any 1911 I wanted if I had a million dollars, but I'd rather build what Ruger should have been doing for years.

There are so many beatifully-finished 22/45s out there, but they're all on that same polymer frame even if it has $500 bone grips. SOMEONE MAKE A REAL 22/45 for us 1911 guys. And even the 1911 .22 LR's are painted black without any options. (!)

This is my first post, thanks for reading my BS!!!

Dude, that would probably sell. I like this game.

    I’d…

-Add P99-style decocker options to all modern Walthers—including the PPS.
-Add a compact .45 to the PX4 lineup
    -Reintroduce the Colt Double Eagle
-Introduce a limited lineup of modernized S&W 3rd gens (4th gens?)
    -Introduce a modernized Walther P5
-Give the USP front- and backstrap checkering that wasn’t a cheese grater (and still, somehow, slick)

That’s probably more than a million dollar worth. But… you know..

A 22/45 frame that accepted stock 1911 grips would be a nice feature.

If I had the capitol to make something I'd want to see, I'd be producing a line of modern Velo Dog DAO NAA sized mini-revolvers with folding triggers, in .22lr, .22mag, and .25acp.

I'd make a big CZ-52 pistol and chamber it in 9x25 Dillon. I'd call it the Podbyrin 9.2 mm.

A modernized CZ-52 build around 9x19, with better grips, sights, optics cut, and normal mag catch might also be interesting.
