A grateful thanks to all of you who have taken the time to answer my questions and share your experiences regarding the use of hearing aids. I truly appreciate it. In addition to gaining knowledge through your experiences, I also am encouraged by the nearly all positive comments about how they have improved your quality of life.

By nature, I am a cynic and typically not among the first to embrace "new" technology. (I became very suspicious when they began making wheelbarrows with TWO wheels). It's nice to hear positive feedback about the value of current technology in heating aids.

I get 2K a year from the VA with a military disability. That's enough to buy whaever I need without the VA getting involved. I'm getting a new set as soon as I can test again. Just waiting for a head cold to clear up. That will be my 3rd set.

Just bought a cheap bluetooth device that plugs into the DVD player. Works great and my wife can set her own sound level.
