Remington 870 aimpoint micro mount for factory predrilled 3 holes pattern

I have Remington 870 Tactical with Magpul furniture which comes with 3 factory drilled and tapped holes.



I’m looking for a optic mount compatible with aimpoint micro base. I already narrowed it down to two models, Ke Arms https://www.kearms.com/shotgun-scope...-remington-870Mount and Vang Comp https://vangcomp.com/product/vcs-micro-mount/mount. As far as I know 870 have different factory drilled patterns 4 and 3 holes. Sending emails to both companies asking of these would fit and what was the distance between two holes on the mount didn’t bring much results. Also I’ll be ordering from overseas so buying one and returning if it would not fit will not work for me. Does anyone have experience with any of these mounts and can confirm if they will fit on factory drilled and tap 3 pattern holes?

A less expensive and more versatile route might be just installing a rail section on the receiver and using the factory low micro mount that came with your Aimpoint. I have an EGW rail on an 870, IIRC.

Yes, I recently got a VCS 870 Aimpoint mount and it fits my 870. The 870 wasn't factory drilled but I had it drilled and tapped for a different mount awhile back and the gunsmith said the other mount was using the factory pattern. If you want to measure to confirm, distance between the center of the front hole and the center of the rear hole is ~73mm.

A less expensive and more versatile route might be just installing a rail section on the receiver and using the factory low micro mount that came with your Aimpoint. I have an EGW rail on an 870, IIRC.

That's what I did before I got the VCS mount, and a dedicated mount is very much superior. You can use a lower cheekweld on the stock.
