I handled the 1854 this afternoon. I liked it but am in no hurry to get one. I might like it better in 357. I liked the sights and the stock fit. I didn’t cycle it. It’d make a good Ohio deer gun but I already have 5” 629 and GP100s, an 1187, and a 350 Legend.
LGS had one last week. I had little interest, but it was handed to me so I gave it a quick look.
It looked pretty good. Nicely made and finished, felt right. Smooth action.
I don't know about that $1300 price, but it did look and feel good.
