Only small changes would be required The wooden birds head grips on the lr version are terrible, but the “boot” grips provide just enough extra material so that the gun shifts much less during recoil despite being only a tiny bit bigger.

One of the most useful mini-revolvers is the PUG. Perhaps starting there would lead to something even nicer.
I have a pug with the Hamre Forge grips and I wouldn't be able to adequately use this little gun without them. The pocket clip is also extremely convenient. I didn't think I would like it but I ended up using it a lot. The shape of the grip is actually designed for a human hand. It gives you better leverage to cock the hammer one handed and puts your finger in a better position for the trigger. I also have a black widow, and although those grips are large, the angle of the HF grips feel much better.

I may need to take a second look at these grips.

For me, the usefulness of these guns is tied to their size. If it becomes as big as a Kel-Tec P-32 then why not just use the P-32? However, they can be really tough to shoot with the original factory grips. Recoil and shifting in the hand drastically affect point of impact. If these grips keep the size reasonably small but make the guns easier to shoot, that could be worthwhile.

This my NAA 22S with the Hamre grips, I just got. They are very comfortable and don't add that much to the little guy.

Is it a useful gun - who knows, it is a Holy Poop BUG. I was and am happy with the slip on rubber grips on the 22 Mag/LR gun.

I bought the 22S as it was so cute - silly reason but why not.

In one of the Lipsey's videos, @JEC talked about using one with the HF grip loaded with snakeshot clipped in his pocket, while keeping regular fodder in his main belt revolver.

That seems like a neat use-case.

I still want this. Maybe even with the 642 config, but the best would be the 638...

    That looks great!

It was our intention in making that grip to walk a fine line of maximum functionality from minimal added footprint.

It's something we're proud of, and I hope it makes that little bug that much easier to use.

    Regards,

Saw a 642 UC at Cabelas for $759, list price. Nice looking but I have a 642 with a CT laser grip. Also, MSRP - pass.

The trade-off in size is worth it for the usability. It's not quite as large or as heavy as a p32 so it can still do things that the p32 cannot, but I would certainly feel better armed with the p32. Funny thing is, I got rid of my p32 for a pug, didn't quite feel too well armed so I got a 43c then later a 332. I haven't carried the pug in awhile now but it's always there as an option. It's usually something I'll rotate in if I have to do heavier physical labor for extended periods of time. It's nice to have a very unobtrusive and sub 10oz option available when the need arises.

I just subscribed for notification when these grips are back in stock for the .22 lr mini revolvers. A little bigger may turn out to be a good tradeoff for a lot more ability to shoot faster and better.

Not sure if I've seen someone post a picture of this in a new S&W UC revolver. This is a 432 that I picked up new tonight. Thought I'd share.
