Thanks for noting this alloy frame deal. That’s a fair price and well under the inflated prices of late.
I have an earlier import alloy frame, presumably from the Belgian motorcyclists. Had some wear on the left/no ejection port side of the frame. Initial shooting impressions found that aluminum frame was less enjoyable than a steel frame. Not quite the difference between an airweight and steel .38 Special, but not far behind. After some tuning and a new recoil spring, the alloy frame seems much more solid.
The weight savings on the alloy frame seems small in numbers, but it feels gloriously less on belt.
For folks who like the surplus look, I saw SDS/MAC is going to import a new build HP line under the Inglis name.
The nickel version may be calling my name.
