I'll be in Best State this weekend to hopefully buy a house near Sheridan, who else is in the 307?

Escapee from the SF Bay Area now living on the Front Range of Colorado.
I’m from the 307 and now live about 3 hours South.

Was up at Snowy Range skiing about a week ago.

    Truly is God’s Country!

May-October wish I was there every year, but have not pulled the trigger on that retirement cabin to visit....yet. Planning another big long 4wheel trip to the Bighorns in 2025....real estate scouting trip as well

    Sheridan is a beautiful area.

Spent some time there a couple summers ago.

I'd love to relocate there in a few years.

Bbbbuuuut...you miss the cross country skiing!

(Lived there for a few years, just loved it. Nice snug snow cave after a long day's ski in the Wind River Range ... that's the life!)

(Heh. Spent a winter on the Pitchfork Ranch outside Meteetse, in one of those camping trailers with a louvered glass window. The propane tank would only last for a week, and we only got to town every two weeks. Ice built up 2 inches thick inside that window, which abutted the bed. Our comforter froze to the wall, we couldn't get it out til spring)

The Pitchfork is for sale if anyone is looking to move :-):

A bit off the topic, but western Montana here. If you end up buying a home next door to God's Country, we ought to think about a get together. Do some shooting, solve the world's problems around a campfire, eat meat and do manly things. Just a thought.

Actually, is there any decent pheasant hunting around Sheriden? I am jonesing to getting back to doing some bird hunting.
