    Help Understand Measuring Truglo Sights

    Hello,
    I have tried to understand how to measure for Truglo sights. I have a few different 1911's of different brands. There does not seem to be am chart showing the specific pistol to the correct Truglo. I have attached a couple of images and as far as I understand the measurements I need to determine the correct sight, I am assuming. Any help would be appreciated. I am not seeing how these translate to a Truglo sight. I appreciate all the help. Thank you JR

    A= .184"
    B= .455"
    C= .805"

    As a starting point, are you familiar with the different "common" 1911 dovetails? Here is an article from Kensight that may be helpful.

    and for those that claim a "Novak" dovetail, there are Novak dovetails and there are Novak-ish dovetails

    Remember, a 1911 is not a Glock. Not all sight dovetails are the same. There are dozens of 1911 makers and even with that, Colt alone offers at least three different rear sight dovetails.

    Another point, not all sight options will be available for all sight dovetails.
