RFI: Restaurant recommendations Richmond VA/WBrg Historic Triangle

So…..taking a trip to Colonial Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown next week. My wife has never been but I used to live in Jamestown as a kid.

Got our itinerary pretty well mapped out as far as what to see. I’ve got no clue on restaurants though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We will hit Richmond Sunday after a brief overnight stay in Abingdon, VA. so if there’s a “must eat” sort of spot in those cities, hit me up with that as well.

    Regards.

If you enjoy Schnitzel, Wurst and German beer, we love this place in downtown Richmond.

Just try to get there right at opening to avoid the wait.

In Colonial Williamsburg, Christiana Campbell’s Tavern is a must-visit. The Fat Canary is also good.

Pierce's Pitt BBQ is a perennial favorite. Blue Talon Bistro for French food. Five Forks Cafe for a diner breakfast, though you are in the land of pancake houses as well.

    In Richmond,

ZZQ Barbeque, they close when they run out, so earlier is better.
    Can Can Brasserie
    Perlys, for breakfast
    Garnetts for sandwiches
Sally J’s for a box lunch
    Stella’s
    Peter Changs for Chinese

Check the hours, some restaurants are closed Sunday.
