I know.
I have two 3" Ks, a 2.75" K and a 3" Python. It is a terrific barrel length for carrying. You get a full-length ejector rod and enough barrel to get some velocity out of a .38+P cartridge.
If I didn't have those guns, I'd be on this deal like it was chocolate cake.
(Now, if they got in some import 3.5" Model 27s...)
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.
Something made me hold off (I’ve had a 3” 64 since I was just 21) and I’m glad I did since I overblew my budget a few hours later.

^^^^That'll clean up decently. How do the bore and chambers look? I have the same gun, just not a re-import, and it's a fine shooter.
ETA: Mine is regulated for 158-grain ammo, it shoots it to POA.

The barrel and chambers are pristine. Here is the guts after I removed the sideplate
So I just picked up my S&W 10-5 3 inch revolver.
A little bit of holster wear by the muzzle, the gun is tight and the trigger action quite smooth (probably from years of use).
I took it to the indoor range this morning and ran 160 rounds through it. The gun shoots very nice. It needs some orange paint on the front sight. I’m gonna brew some coffee (from Montana Coffee Traders) and clean the gun and paint the front sight.
I might keep the stock grips on it and add a grip adapter.
