Also, that would require new pouches, and I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze. We both have dump pouches so will definitely bring them. Will definitely hit you up when we get there. My “boy” (24 yrs, ex-Marine) is a southpaw so he does everything wrong handed. I’ve been sharing my best thinking re: reloads, but will be glad to have someone share proper technique.

    Thanks!
    Dogcaller:

I am glad I could provide some help on this issue. I actually carry a Comp III when I pack a wheelgun. Rob Leahy's Sidewinder speed loader pouch makes it pretty easy. I'll show you when we cross paths this fall.

As to you son, we can show him a couple of left-hand techniques that work pretty well...even for a Marine!. Actually, Uncle Sam's Misguide Children are some of my favorite people!

How many rounds should I plan on bringing? I sense this is different than a typical course with a known/suggested round count, so what do ya'll suggest? Thanks.

    Dogcaller:

I have suggested students bring 150 rounds to my classes. If you have wadcutter ammo, bring a box or so. If you need a round count for the entire weekend, let me know. I will see if I can dig up a figure for you. I don't want to speak out of turn, but I am personally bringing 1,000 rounds. I won't use that much in teaching, but I figure it doesn't take up much space and if I need it, I don't want to mess around trying to buy ammo locally at the last minute.

Let me know if I answered your question.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Be sure to introduce yourself. Actually, that goes for any of the Pistol Forum crew. it would be nice to put a face to a name.

I think my son, Gavin, and I are all packed up and ready to leave tomorrow for Revolver Round Up.

We are both looking forward to the classes and to actually meeting everyone face to face. We are both in your class Saturday morning Bruce Cartwright.

    See everyone soon!

I'll finish packing today and my brother and I will be driving half of the way today and the other half tomorrow. Looking forward to being back again!

Yup, my son and I are currently at the gate in DIA (Denver) for our flight to PHX. Looking forward to it! Checking guns and ammo was easy-peasy.
