Thread: Nobody wants a 40 anymore

    I purchased my first 40 S&W in 95 or 96 , it was a S&W Sigma .. I can’t even imagine how many rounds I put through that pistol over the years …later on I purchased a Ruger 94 in 40 S&W ..then the next was a Gen 3 23 .. I own a 27 & a 23 , also a Charter in 40 S&W ..Mine aren’t going anywhere.. the 40 S&W is a great round.

The LCI would limit your direct mill options, the safety thing can be undone pretty easily.
I didn't like the FDE, but it grew on me...

I've been very tempted by the 5" .40 2.0 C.O.R.E. model that has been floating around for $475-500 in a lot of places. Great deal for a 5" barrel and optics capability.

I would get that one if it was available on my list of available models. I can get one in 9mm, but I want to be different. Plus I enjoy shooting 40.

Lately, I’ve been shooting an indoor casual bullseye like match. I’ve been shooting my 2011 in 40, since that is what I was shooting in my normal matches. I’ve just been shooting minor .40. Everyone else is shooting 9 mm. The beauty is I get most of my brass back and half of it is picked up by other people.
