    G26 in a G17 AIWB Holster?

Just picked up a G26 Gen5, don't have a holster for it. I do, however, have a G17 holster that I use for my G47/19

Am I going to shorten the life of the holster by carrying a G26 in it?

I've been doing it for years. So far, so good.

    Sometimes I use a G19 holster. Mostly the G17.

    Thank you @blues

One thing I forgot to add is that it's a kydex holster, not leather. I imagine leather would eventually deform

I only have kydex. No leather holsters for my Glocks.

It's really probably dependent upon the exact holster in question, but I frequently carry a 26 in a 19 sized JMCK holster. I'd use a 17 sized one without worry.

As long as the open portion of the holster isn't being flexed, which I don't think is possible, then you won't shorten the life of it. Flexing is what will eventually cause any kydex/plastic holster to crack/fail.

If someone had your AIWB holster for a 34 could/would you cut it to 26 length

It'll work fine and probably be more stable than a "proper" G26 length holster.

Concur. Not an issue, and actually you’ll see this with 43X holsters being G48 length as well as the extra length helps keep the grip from canting out. I’ve been toting around a G26 in a RCS G19 holster for a while with no noticeable issue.

    Yep.

Now we just need a factory Glock 50 (G26 frame with a G17 slide)! Come on Glock!
