Hi all,
I recently purchased a couple gen 5 glocks, a 26, and now a 19. The 26 is great, runs perfectly, but I noticed some vertical milling lines inside the ejection port near the breach face. Doesn’t seem to affect operation, but I’m not pleased. Currently waiting to hear back from Glock on that. The 19 seems to function fine, but I noticed the trigger reset seems weak to me. I hadn’t noticed it with the 26, but compared the my gen 4 19, both are weak. The 26 is barely, but the 19 is definitely weaker than my gen 4 19. I spoke to the guy at Glock about this as well. He said as long as I haven’t actually had a failure to reset, it’s probably just a difference between gens. He said of course they can check it out if I’d like, but first just clean it thoroughly because it’s probably normal. What do you all think? I’ve put about 115 rounds through the 19 so far. Full disclosure, I do tend to ride the reset and I short stroked the trigger at one point. That’s what really brought this to my attention. I’ve read that I shouldn’t ride the reset, but haven’t totally trained it out yet. Maybe it’s catching up with me?
Thanks in advance for your opinions!
