Where did you come upon the info about the Ranger 7 Mini? I'd be interested in having my old 762-SDN-6 converted. I have exchanged emails with ECCO about something similar but would rather do something that's got a factory warranty, etc.

I don't think the 'Mini' cans have had their full commercial release yet, but AAC has displayed them on their Instagram site. I asked about shortening the can to a Mini when I contacted their customer service about the restoration program and options. This was post had some of the more significant information. If you're considering the work for your SDN-6, now's the time with the Black Friday offer...

Ah okay. Thanks for the info. I'll send them an email.

I have been happy with the sound reduction and tone of my AAC can but it is a big beast. If I can spend a few bucks and get it made shorter and lighter without completely changing how well it works I'm sold.

That's a reassuring turnaround time. My 762-SDN-6 landed at their shop last Friday. It's seen so little use, I was almost ashamed to send it in.

    Almost.

So I tried putting a Plan B adapter on it but the non threaded part of the adapter is too long and needs to be cut down.

So I decided to just cut length and direct mount since I’m never going to shoot this 11.5” unsuppressed.

Card is where the direct mount Ranger ends compared to the Omega 9k with HUB adapter and cherry bomb.
