    2008 production M&P 9

Well I'm not allowed to buy anything right now but after consulting my lawyer there's nothing saying I can't trade stuff of equal value. A friend of mine has a 2008 production M&P 9. Am I right in assuming this one shouldn't have any accuracy issues etc?

A 2008 model should be OK from an accuracy standpoint.

Any M&P9 full size gun produced after the Compacts went into production is suspect. My first (2007 production) M&P9 had the accuracy issues and by then Smith (really it was Ernest Langdon) had already produced barrels that resolved the problem.
