I'm hesitant to do that on Granddad's M12 with the accuchoke - Apparently if timing is a bit off, it can wear at the locking portion of the receiver.

Now, if I stumble across another M12 at a fair price/condition, I'll probably give less than two hoots about that one, shorten the stock/barrel, and drill/tap the receiver for a micro dot

I was very, very close to getting a 16ga. I just don't want to store/source yet another caliber/gauge

    Did someone say 16ga?

An old Wingmaster that has been in the family for almost three-quarters of a century. I wasn't going to use it to hunt birds, so with a shorter barrel, shorter stock, and a sleeve of buckshot on the butt it has a second life as a defensive gun.

A couple of units are testing these Ukrainian produced anti-drone shotgun loads right now. These two are interesting because it’s the first time I’ve seen 3” magnum loadings being used.

The first two boxes are 3”/76mm loads with 40 grams/1.40oz 4,5mm/BB and 45grams/1.6oz 5.0mm/T shot

Below is a google translation of the back of the boxes.
    DRONE HUNTER 45
MAGNUM 12X76 FOR ATTACKING MEDIUM DRONES
A series of 5 shots with a 12×76 weapon with a 1 mm choke at a distance of 100 meters provides a sufficient number of hits to destroy the drone.
It is important not to clearly aim the drone, but to quickly create a cloud of buckshot due to the maximum number of shots.

    DRONE HUNTER 50
MAGNUM 12X76 FOR ATTACKING MEDIUM AND LARGE DRONES
A series of 5 shots with a 12×76 weapon with a 1 mm choke at a distance of 130 meters provides 30+ hits on a target with an area of 3 square meters
It is important not to clearly aim the drone, but to quickly create a cloud of buckshot due to the maximum number of shots

Google translate of back of the box. Note an emphasis on using proper lead and training on fast moving targets.

The cartridges are designed to combat FPV drones and small kamikaze drones at close and medium distances (10-50 meters).
It is important to clearly aim the drone with the correct one
prejudice.. It is very important before use
conduct numerous training sessions on fast-moving targets.
The shotgun projectile provides reliable target damage due to the optimal combination of a special metal charge and weight. Cartridges are suitable for use in any 12-gauge weapon.
