    509T on M1A SOCOM 16. What mount?

I should probably use the easy button and get a scout scope and low rings, but I'd much rather save the 10oz or so and I want to mount a 509T or similar RDS on the factory pic rail without having a riser. Is this even possible? Having it as low as absolutely possible is the goal. A different RDS is also an option.

I'm not seeing anything as far as mounts for an actual picatinny rail unless it's a riser for the AR platform to co-witness. Maybe my google foo is failing today. Anybody got a suggestion?

I'm confused as I thought the 509T came with a picatinny mount integrated into it?

It does have dovetails grooves on each side, but they look too shallow to grab onto a pic rail and they ship with an RMR plate. It would be way cool if I could just clamp it on right out of the box. Finding actual dimensions on optic footprints is maddening.
