Thread: Pizza AR

    Pizza AR

AR ergos and looks, piston drive, folding and collapsible stock. Will probably run better than JJ's gun at the Open Nationals.

Looks like a gun 10-20 years too late. The civilian AR market is flooded and Sig and HK have the military marker cornered in the piston gun world. Maybe they are banking on Italian contracts it hoping for some of that UKR $$$$?

"...deliver game-changing capabilities” Mr. Beretta concluded.
Seems like there's a game changer every year or so, and everybody just keeps plugging along with the same ol'.

I think it's cool, but I like to be different and special. I had a Sig 556 SWAT, which is different and cool and special, but at the end of the day didn't get 5.56 bullets from point A to point B better than anything else. Maybe piston is better but there's a zillion AR parts out there you can have at your front door in less than 3 days. Might not be as much of an issue for armorers with a direct Bat-phone to Beretta.

This has an AR style buffer tube to facilitate use of AR stocks but the buffer tube is not functional.

This is a Pizza MCX rather than Pizza AR.

The other factory stock option is an MCX style folder.

As far as I could gather development on this started in 2018, in close collaboration with Italian Army SOF (which means probably a contract of some sort is already in place).

Will be multi-caliber including .300blk, 7.62 NATO and 6.5 Creed.

Was developed in tandem with a new suppressor (part of Beretta's B-Silent line).

Here’s the other factory stock option (MCX style).

Honestly, I think this is great and more power to them. The more the merrier. Every manufacturer should make some form of AR as far as I'm concerned.
Better than making something weird, fugly, and entirely non-standard like the ARX 100.

I am deeply disappointed this isn't a pizza shaped like an AR or a AR covered in a pizza camo pattern.

    Hrm.

I wonder if we'd ever see that here?

I'm down to give it a try.

I genuinely like my Spear LT. It doesn't really do anything significantly better than my AR's but it's got some pretty damned nice features that DO make it desirable.

    Folding Stock
    Really, really soft recoil impulse
    Adjustable gas block
    Ambi Controls
Very easy caliber conversions if that's your thing.

Looks like this Beretta has all of that. (provided the gas block has a suppressor/unsuppressed setting).
