I will be traveling to New Orleans with wife and Mother in Law to visit the WWII museum and the Chalmette Battlefield for sure, maybe other things.

I have visited New Orleans before about a decade ago and I carried throughout the trip but it was in late June and very, very hot so I was the only person on the street most of the time. 😁

Can you still ccw in the WWII museum? My state has reciprocity with Louisiana and I have a current license.

Any areas to specifically avoid in the historical French Quarter? Particularly if herding an oblivious MIL? There will be things that she is going to want to see, I am sure, but I haven't gotten a list from her yet of what she wants to see.

No nightlife, just historical things and eating out 2 days in the middle of the week.
