Bought an early album from a review. The clerk at the
record shop thought that was odd.

Saw him do a show in Gainesville, FL years later.
One of the highlights of my stay there.

Saw the story somewhere else just a few minutes before
it showed up at PF. Expected him to go on rocking for a
    while yet. RIP.

I wore out a cassette tape of his, back when I had a player in my car.

Saw him in concert at least 30 times starting in my late teens. Traveling the east coast every summer with college buddies became a decade long summer ritual. My wife and I were recently discussing taking our kids to see him next year, sad they’ll never get to experience one of his concerts. RIP.

Very sad. I've seen him a couple times in Wisconsin and at Wrigley Field. He's definitely a regular in my music rotation.

I frequently think back to a line from a co-worker 20+ years ago when his music came up. Someone said something like "I need to be in the right mood to listen to Jimmy Buffet." He replied "I don't... His music puts me into that mood."

    Rest in Peace Jimmy.
