On the other hand, I'm a Temptations fan, but not much of a Rare Earth fan, and I prefer the Rare Earth version of "Get Ready". It has a more masculine, driving power to their version of the song.
It's been listed here already, but it's soooooo much better than the original that I had to list it again...

Like the one above, this version is f'ing awesome, but the original (written by Grace Slick and performed by her band The Great Society prior to her joining Jefferson Airplane) is also a great piece of music, if somewhat unknown)...
