    Cool find! The first and only Accu Comp I ever saw was in 1988 and it was an all chrome gun. When the owner uncased it, I could hear the Miami Vice theme playing in my head...

    I messaged Cameron Hopkins about my accu-comp. He believes it is from 1984-1985.
    I pulled another Colt 1911 Government from the gun safe. I bought this one back in the 90s just as it is. . It also is marked Wilson Combat.
    I always thought of it as my 1980 Mel Tappan inspired build. King Tappan sights, Swenson Ambi safety, and a bobbed hammer spur. A simple 1911 with just the basics.
