Growing up, there was a farm with a large pond about 4 miles from our house. The story from the farmer is that his Grandfather was taking ice blocks one winter, but hit a thin spot and lost the team of horses and a stable hand. He was unclear on if the body of the stable hand was recovered, but was certain the horses and wagon were still down there.
