My father worked for Pearce & Sons Distributors, wholesaling Coors beer in the Mesa, Globe Arizona area during the late 50s and throughout the 60s.
I always liked to think I was a popular guy in high school, but it may have been because of the case of Coors Dad left in the back seat of his car. That was the car I drove around during high school.

I’m a beer snob now. I only drink craft beers, either IPAs or Brown Ales. AleSmith from San Diego, Tombstone from Tombstone Arizona, and Goldwater’s are my favorite breweries. Negro Modelo is also a favorite.
But I remember one spring Sunday afternoon the people from Pearce’s set up a new Coors keg in Evergreen Park in Mesa. That was absolutely the best beer I remember ever drinking. Mom had to come get both of us, and boy was she pissed. Blamed me for getting dad drunk. Good times.

In college, I didn’t like Bud. Still don’t. Couldn’t get Coors in the east, so I drank Rheingold and Ballantine Beers back then.

Rolling Rock is the best damn beer I’ve ever tasted. On my units return to Camp Pendleton from the Persian Gulf our flight had a pit stop in Bangor, Maine. We were all allowed to deplane and stretch out. We were met by a large local VFW group with handshakes, pats on the back and coolers filled with iced beer. That iced Rolling Rock is the best I’ll ever taste. I rarely see Rolling Rock where I live. Every time I do see it my mind goes back to that sweet time and I bust a big grin.

Contributing to the thread drift from the threat of pink gun guy to Western Civilization, went to dinner at a quaint inn by a fast flowing creek and its rapids. Had two pork chops with mashed potatoes, berry pie and a local beer whose name is gone from my memory. It was one of those rustic names you find on local brewery products.

BTW, America owes a debt of gratitude to Gen. Von Steuben who helped whipping the failing Continental Army into shape for George Washington. He was gay and that was known at the time. George still hired him.

Mixing of male and female and blurring the distinction is destructive, as is clearly seen by what is going on in our society.
While praising a President who brags about assaulting women and cheats on his pregnant wife with a porn star is constructive to our society. Hard to understand the selective morality

Wonder if he was related to Lily von Shtupp?

Yeah but... I highly doubt von Steuben would have garnered any respect or been effective if he was as flamboyant as the character in the video.

I don't give a rat's ass about who someone wants to shack up with. I don't need them to rub their differences or ostentatious proclivities in my face.

How did this guy get into your face? I see folks proclaiming their religion through ornaments and dress, women flaunting their attributes through their dress, hair styles that are ethnically marking, etc.

Who cares? Unless someone physically bothers me or exposures their nether regions in public - I don't care.

This guy walking down the street, a woman in a hijab, an Ultra-Orthodox Jew, a person with very large crucifix tattoos that are exposed - I may not be in accord with any of their symbolism personally. They are announcing their proclivities, maybe they think various deities command it.

However, it doesn't bother me, it is just their right. The guy at the match with Trump 2024 - OMG!

I’m not saying that the man should be shunned by all who encounter him. If I was hanging out in public, and this guy wanted to join us, I wouldn’t automatically exclude him. I would have no issue publicly being seen with him, especially if he and I were engaged in meaningful dialogue.

If we were both shooting at the same range, I wouldn’t go out of my way to avoid him.

My only issue is the public acceptance and celebration of such behavior.

Somethings deserve not to be tolerated by a polite and decent society. Tolerating such behavior as this man engages in is certainly the popular thing in the world of mainstream thinking. It’s possible that I’m wrong and such behavior should be accepted by society.
Help me get my head around this. Sounds like the old "love the sinner, hate the sin," thing, or however that goes. Where do you draw the line between tolerating the person and tolerating their behavior when said behavior is the way they dress, talk, and generally present themselves to the world on an everyday basis? To me it sounds like you're saying you'd be tolerant of this person as long as they were dressing and acting in a gender normative way and keeping their cross-dressing and trans behavior out of the public eye although you disapprove of that behavior.

You literally clicked on his (her?) video to watch it.

Don't watch it if you don't like it. He/she/it didn't force you to watch it.

I’m pretty sure General Von Steuben just spun in his grave with that comparison.

And posted a link here to rub it in our faces! This used to be a safe space; what has happened to this place?
