So I have a pair of EDC X9. One optic cut and one with irons.
They were my main guns I shot before the Shadow 2 and USPSA in 2019.
But the difference in grip angle is enough that I never shoot them anymore.
They’re great guns and I think IDPA ESP, CCP (with basepad shave) and CO would work.
But with that light a gun… I’d want a compensator.
And want to change the grip angle…
You see where this is going…
Today:
Took this:
And cut it down
I cheated on Dremel with Makita…
Took literally 15 seconds to cut it.
Used a tap but there was a shelf that I had to grind out with the Dremel stone.
Bingo. Fully tapped.
Needed a ratcheting socket instead of the flimsy T-handle.
Timed the base for a 12:30 clock.
Will Rocksett it… the beauty of 2011 barrels being inserted through the front!
Won’t have to remove the compensator for cleaning.
The comp is slim and fits in open ended holsters.
It also fits in the box!
12:30 timed comp
The next step will be the backstrap to make it more CZ angle.
This is the L backstrap and what I plan on grinding off…
