    Course Description:
    This course will focus on critically essential pistol fundamentals, with an emphasis on efficiency of movement. Students will learn holster techniques, accurate target engagement, emergency reloads, tactical reloads, pistol malfunction techniques and proper weapon manipulation. This class will focus on the basics, but will progress with tempo throughout the day. The curriculum will push people out of their comfort zone and allow people to analyze aspects of their pistol performance.

    Students will be provided diagnostic feedback, which can be used to set a baseline for future pistol performance. This class will prepare you for future "higher speed" courses. Lastly, this course will emphasize vetted tactics and maneuvers, critical for real world scenarios.

    Necessary Equipment:
    - Serviceable pistol chambered in .380 or larger (NO .22 rimfire pistols in this course)
    - Minimum of three magazines
    - Magazine pouch
    - Holster which does not collapse and MUST allow for single handed re-holstering (NO cross draw or shoulder harnesses)
    - Eye and ear protection (electronic recommended)
    - Ammunition (300 rounds)
    - Weather appropriate clothing and gear (we shoot rain or shine)
    - Sunscreen
    - Personal food and hydration needs (no water available at the range facility)
    - State/government issued ID

    A lunch break will be taken midway through training.

    Is this class for somebody that has little to no experience shooting a pistol - i.e., a true "beginner"?
