Have any jacketed bullets to try?

The bright side is its easier to open them up than skinny them down.

    No .357 bullets. Just .355.

Your right and I'm not really complaining. I was expecting it.

Id guess it may shoot well with the 355s anyway.

You can try oiling a cast bullet and forcing it through, then measuring it. You may just need skinnier cast bullets now? (trying to be optimistic)

Its one of those little things that arent always little when you just want something to work. It can be frustrating to have a project when youd rather be shooting.

With the -8 there's no gas ring which led to a lot of atomized lead on the arbor which led to binding.

I had it honed by a guy at castboolits which solved that issue 100% and allowed me to shoot 500+ cast bullets without cleaning or binding.

Can you share what your approximate round count is on the 66-8 ?

I just started shooting one semi-seriously and considering buying a second one as a spare.

    Thanks!

I had forgotten about that. One would hope its ready to go with the new cylinder, but thats a good way to get it back to top level performance again.

50k split pretty evenly between magnum and .38+p

And absolute ton of hard dryfireing.

I'm pretty happy with it considering I was expecting the undersized throats.

I'm just not sure if I want to send it off, rent the proper tools or try emery cloth and a drill. I did the later on my redhawk and it came out well.

@Jim Watson turned me on to the flex hone system ($26 off Amazon).

    Worked great for me.

How do you ensure a consistent size?

When I used Emory cloth wrapped around a dowel in a drill it was a lot of checking.
