New Springfield pistol comin on 7/12/23!

Stumbled on this: www.springfieldpremiere.com. LGS saw it, said new design, all he would elaborate on, sounded like compact / duty, but not micro.

Maybe some type of XD update? A Gen III of sorts?

I'm hoping it is an aluminum frame Parody but that wouldn't be embargoed or rolled out in secret, etc.

Snagged off another site...double stack duty sized pistol with RMR optic cut and slide racking ears a la VP9? "Echelon" maybe?

Lots of leaked images on Reddit. Looks like an evolution of the XD that omits the grip safety. Serial number is on the right side of the frame above the grip area, visible through a window cut into the polymer. Not sure if this means it's a chassis type design like the P320.

Huh. Looks like the grip zone is actually grippy this time..

A dedicated RMR cut in 2023? Fail!

It doesn’t say “grip zone” though…

That’s a tiny looking slide release.

It will be interesting to see if they offer a version with a thumb safety, but it also looks like a tight fit to put one on it that is well done.

True - it could be confusing for those who are used to an enumerated "Grip Zone"...they might grip the wrong zone without that. Wow, this could be bad!
