Nothing special, just a 629-1 with Spegel cocobolo stocks. I carry it frequently so the stocks are showing some wear.

I only have one. My Grandpop gave me his 1966 model 28-2 in 1985. I shot it some through the past decades, but not much. I'd love to convert it to a 44 spl.

I forgot that I had a 4" barrel installed by a gunsmith. I reverted back to the 6" but like the feel of the 4" better.Name: IMG_5740.jpg

Fantastic. Definitely one to leave as-is and enjoy.

I forgot my S&W 627 Pro video. That was a great revolver, but belongs to someone on the P-F now.

The only picture that’s handy is my 4” 24-3.

It just got back from David Fink, who set me up with a 1/10” gold dot FS:

Now, you may have noticed it’s a 4” with a round-butt. I had that done almost immediately after buying it in 1984.

Shortly thereafter, in what was clearly a theft of my intellectual property, Lew Horton 3” RBs hit the street.

I’ve been writing them these past 40 years, asking when the royalty checks will start arriving, but no answer yet.
