    I put pre-war service stocks on it and I think it looks even better.

    One more N frame to add.

    1950 pre model 27. Pretty sure this is a refinish as the guns from that era had a blued front sight base. Even so the nickel is flawless. Not original grips either but they are very nice nonetheless.

    Buddy of mine has its twin from the same year but with factory stocks. Nickeled front sight too. His dad bought it new in 1950.

    Can you get a photo of that gun? When I bought this revolver I thought it was a factory finish but the old dudes at the blue forum have insisted that all the nickel guns from that era had blued front sight bases.
