Guys, currently I'm using a Boonie Packer Safari Sling on the FN 49, which may be perfectly adequate: https://www.amazon.com/Boonie-Packer.../dp/B07CQKQQ83
I like the webbing width, and how it works for patrol/duty carry. The attachment loops utilize the rifle's OEM sling swivel hardware. My only qualm is that when I raise the rifle into firing position, the front portion can obscure the front sight if it doesn't fall to the left side. What I've been doing is grasping the black sling retaining loop with my support hand thumb on presentation to guarantee that it's out of the sight plane, which seems to work and is not a difficult action/muscle memory to accomplish, but I thought I'd query what others are doing regarding carry slings for this type of rifle/stock (a FN FAL or M14/M1A would be similar) for patrol carry.
I've looked at the Frank Proctor S/R sling, but while it also would be doable, it seems to offer a flimsier attachment loops (although a knowledgeable friend is quite satisfied with their carbine sling rig on his M4 AR carbine).

Thoughts, suggestions appreciated (included recommending I simply stay with what I've got).
Best, Jon
