    OLD Police training Films:

When I went through the Academy there were using this film, when I later returned as an instructor, they were still using it. We quit using it after a couple of us 'new guys' pointed out the outmoded thinking. There are some good points raised in the film, but you knew your training film is no good when you spent more time stopping the projector and explaining why what they just watched was incorrect then you did letting them watch the film. Best line of the film - 'you can whirl, fire, and blow the guy away' - not PC, even in the early 80's.

    SHOTGUN OR SIDEARM:

This one is still actually pretty relevant. ETA: airbags notwithstanding.

    VEHICLE UNDER ATTACK - COUNTERATTACK:

Some are still relevant while some are pretty dated, regardless, the footage is awesome.

I like the nickel-plated revolver in the tooled holster.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

I just watched this over the weekend….

…and these officers should have watched the above video:

The action starts at 1:50, and the first officer got lucky.
