More evidence that a thick juicy medium rare Porterhouse steak every night is good for me.

I should go back on protein shakes then. the farts would level the neighborhood after a couple weeks.

Isn't that pretty much the basis of the Atkins Diet?
Adding nothing to the conversation since 2015....

Definitive proof that beans don't belong in chili!

A porter house every night? Good Lord, at least toss a ribeye on once in a while for variety....

Or get a good meat rotation going. Some grilled chicken thighs, or pork chops, or some nice tuna steaks.

I was certainly at my leanest / healthiest when approximating an Adkins diet.
(I made exceptions for cream & sugar in my morning coffee and some beer in the evenings.)

I think it’s a good point or reference for eating healthy and staying lean.

OP, I don’t think that’s the real takeaway from the research.

It seems like that, but isn't Atkins ketocentric? Carbo-fast until you reach ketosis, then gradually increase your carbohydrates until you stop losing weight then back off a touch?

I think the key to this article is the finding that low protein is the cause of feeling hungry, which is the predicate to overeating. It implies that a person could eat only protein at a meal until he's no longer hungry, then take carbs or sugar as a self-limiting desert. I like the simplicity of that.
