OP, I don’t think that’s the real takeaway from the research.
It seems like that, but isn't Atkins ketocentric? Carbo-fast until you reach ketosis, then gradually increase your carbohydrates until you stop losing weight then back off a touch?
I think the key to this article is the finding that low protein is the cause of feeling hungry, which is the predicate to overeating. It implies that a person could eat only protein at a meal until he's no longer hungry, then take carbs or sugar as a self-limiting desert. I like the simplicity of that.
