As long as end shake is tightly controlled, don't think I'd lose any sleep over that .003" B/C gap. I have a Freedom Arms with .454 and .45 ACP cylinders. Both cylinders have a ~.002" B/C gap. In about 25 years of ownership, never an issue with that tight B/C gap with either cylinder...
