Thread: Lipsey's LTT USP FS

    LTT was helpful.

I did not realize that the USP 45 plate for a Holosun HE509T-RD X2 is the same as a P30 plate forthe HE509T. Got it straight with emails and ordered 2 plates.

    LTT, Thanks.

Got is Lipseys/ Langdon USP 46, 509T, Plates from Langdon for 509T ( same plate as for P30 according to Langdon).

Need to change plates, mount 509T and get to the range.

I will need to find torque specs, proceedure and what threadlocker.

LTT Youtube has info. Plates come with #10 Torx screws and driver. Got an Wera, non digital, inch/lb torque screwdriver from Grainger in Columbia SC.

I really want to see how this works at 50 - 100 yards, as well as closer.

    Possible Red Dot Drill

    RED DOT DRY DRILL
I am new to the dot so this may not be new to you.
I had not heard of doing this before.
I thought it up and tried it.

Pick a spot on a wall that is a safe back stop, make sure visually and digitally that the pistol is empty. No ammo in dry fire area.

Draw to spot on wall, observe when you first see dot, drive dot to target, break shot without disturbing pistol, repeat.

Cut all lights for full dark, repeat drill. You do not have visual cues to find dot. It has to be done kinesthetically. This grooves in correct stroke.

See how early you can find dot.
In the beginning go slow, as you improve speed up until you are finding dot quickly and early.

    Do this a bunch, 50 - 100 times maybe.

Turn lights on and do drill again. Dot will appear in the correct spot like magic.
    HK USP 45 LTT/ Lipseys, Holosun 509T

    YMMV

A USP 45 with a 509t has got to be the most bomb proof end of world handgun/optic combo out there.

For the love of all that is holy please post some pics of your USP45/509t set up.

I have a USP 45 sitting in the safe and would like to see what it looks like.

I will get some pics up.

Under Auto Pistols, GJM did some posts with pics of USP and optics.

I posted my first shooting results.

Roger, I'm particularly interested in a first person view of what the irons look like in the optic window. Like how high they sit.

    Thanks

I just installed a 509T last night. The back up irons are barely usable. I painted the top of the front sight with orange paint to make it stand out a bit more.
