    I’m not an engineer. But power has to go somewhere. I kinda expected that looking at the launch and seeing the previous quotes in this thread about a flame trench. Seems like how a rocket kinda works. I blew up a few model rocket pads as a kid. Heh.

    Fifteen million pounds of thrust is going to do some serious damage, even with that bit of a stand-off they build into the pad. I agree, the damage was foreseeable. But I suspect it also speaks to the mindset of SpaceX that even if good practice is to do X, they'll skip over that to see if they can get away with it.
    If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

    Just curious. But how do you feel about their fueling system?

    You mean fueling the rocket with people in the capsule? I don’t know as I’d want to be sitting on top of the Cost-Cutters Express when the do that.
