NC Pistol Purchase Permit Requirement Gone

Nice, its been many moons since I lived in NC, but I recall it being a PITA. My county allowed you to get 5 at a time. Glad to hear that nonsense is finally gone.

It's been nearly two weeks since North Carolina lawmakers passed Senate Bill 41, bringing an end to the requirement of a pistol purchase permit for people looking to buy a handgun and not already in possession of a concealed carry permit.

During that timeframe, Fuquay Gun & Gold owner Clay Ausley said business has been, "Wide open. Busy like Christmas."

I tried cutting and pasting the email I've gotten today from GRNC. However something with the Forum software keeps blocking it.

In short, they are firing several shots across the bow of the NRA. They claim that the NRA is trying to claim credit for passage of this bill when it was really GRNC. Quite a few mentions of how the NRA is failing.
