Republican rage porn photo op bullshit.

ATF inspection of FFL business records are routine events, not “raids” and are conducted by Inspectors (who are not armed / not LEOs) not “agents.”

Dumbshit like this is why I’m a conservative who hates conservatives.

Is 16 ATF agents right after FFL renewal a SOP?
And if it is, why would they leave just because a few politicians are present?

Again, not Special Agents. These would be ATF Inspectors. They aren’t sworn law enforcement personnel. They don’t carry guns as part of their duties. They don’t make arrests. They are administrative, regulatory employees. The ATF is both a law enforcement agency and an industry regulatory agency. Is assigning 16 Inspectors to inspect a large FFL normal? Probably if it’s large enough. I’ve seen some BIG gun stores and can’t imagine how long it would take one or two Inspectors to go through their books.

Not disagreeing. Just wondering how a minion of congresscritters managed to show up at an ATF routine inspection.

AFAIK they schedule the inspections with the FFLs in advance.
