Thread: Side by side comparison videos of various non ported/ported/comped Glock 19s

    Nice review, thank you.

Have you noticed any reduction in velocity from the 7 ports?

I've read the Glock C models lost ~30fps, but thats with a lot less portage than what these look like, and with the ports much closer to the chamber.

Is is just me, or does the stock Gen 3 have less muzzle rise than the stock Gen 5?

It does appear that way in the video. It wasn’t enough for me to really notice when I was actually shooting. Shooting the comps/ports the difference was very noticeable compared to stock. The day I took those last videos I shot 10 different Casino Drills. 5 w the Ultra JTTC and 5 w/ the Lucky 7s. Times were very similar between the two, but the hits were better with the Lucky 7s.

I still need to borrow a chrono. I’ll check once I get it and update the thread.

Monsoon was pretty much on the money about the 50fps difference. No difference using the Ultra JTTC.

I guess I am surprised how low the velocity was out of stock barrel. After the comp that would barely make power factor. Looking forward to sending my GenG19 in.

I was too. That was a G19.5 stock barrel and not a G19.3 barrel. The Lucky 7 ports were cut in a G19.3 factory barrel.

Has anyone tried shooting these from retention? One of my reservations about carrying a ported gun is the potential of jacket spalling hitting my face/eyes if I ever had to fire from retention. If they've found a way to mitigate this issue I might consider sending a gun in to try it out.
