I'll try to get up some thoughts in a few days, but if you have any questions, fire away.
I’m looking forward to your impressions, thanks for posting the pictures. I really like the looks of that skallywag sheath, wonder if who they get them from makes them custom as well. As all things, I’d like a little of that mixed with that lol.

The Skallywag sheath shares similar features to my AHolster, but how does the Barracuda sheath work in the pocket? How does the knife come free of the sheath?

It's not designed to, but I simply pop the kydex off by pushing with my thumb, flexing my index finger forward with a strong grip, or hooking the rivet side of the sheath on a jeans pocket seam.

    Let's see if this works.

I carry a Mora Eldris a good amount of the time. $25 on Amazon, durable, sharp as heck, good grip for a little knife, super innocent looking, available in all kinds of colors. The round shape in the pocket is sort of lumpy, but does not look like a knife. Here is the factory sheath with a cord for deep IWB:

Aftermarket sheath for pocket carry. I use the thumb pop for this.

Have we talked about the Defense Lab Ehud knife already? People who are into reverse edge might be interested in this. Looks very competitive for the price.

Oh I really like the looks of that. Hope someone owns an Ehud and a Barracuda.

It's a new month, and Gun Mutt is trying to get me in trouble with my wife....just teasing.

It looks nice, although the scales look very thin. And when you get to the curved blades, you have to worry more if the tip to handle angles works well with your wrist structure and mobility. Not a huge concern, but it's there.

Same price point. The Ehud comes with a hard trainer, which is nice. Personally, I think they are overrated. I will do solo draw practice with the live blade. If I'm practicing with a partner, I'll use a softer/non-metal trainer for anything other than a teaching demo. I think if I can drive the thing through sturdy cardboard, it has very little place in an evolution with any level of force or pressure. If I'm really worried about cutting myself in solo practice, I'm either doing something fancy that is probably not worth practicing, practicing too fast with a new setup (running before walking), or might deserve a nick as a lesson.

The harder rubber trainers are a good compromise. You won't actually stab your partner in the liver, even with some muscle behind it. However, they will feel it.

The exception is folders (because you need to see if you can open it) or big blades for slow drills, FMA/European fencing style (not sport fencing, but you can get edge awareness or go fast without accidentally skinning yourself). Even then, with the latter, rattan works almost as well if you are being mindful.

Just my 2 cents. You will shred a t shirt once in a blue moon. Cheap lesson.

I want to buy an Ehud, but I want a forward edge blade and not a reverse edge. I like the grip shape and mid-height sheath.
