Good to here. Hopefully this along with Benitez officially killing Kalifornia’s laws will preempt any bafoonery from Biden.

    They’ll be back.

It’s difficult to fight the fight when Pritzker openly admitted that the law was unconstitutional. He didn’t care tho. He signed it anyhow, surrounded by a gaggle of Karens.

    So glad to be gone.

Same, it’s a total shitshow. I miss Illinois in a lot of ways (and am looking forward to heading right to Gene and Jude’s when I get off the bird in a few weeks) but then I look at the SBRs and suppressors I wasn’t allowed to have there. Screw Jabba and Kwame sideways.

Gene & Jude for lunch, Gene & Georgetti for dinner, Wiener Circle for afterbar...good to be king. (I know G&G is a cliché, but you can no longer get the ultimate cliché, which might have been the lemon veal at the Como Inn?* Ideally followed by second row seats behind the goalie at the Stadium.)

*Assuming you didn't want to run up to Highwood for the steak al forno.

Any further comment will become political.

Dammit, I miss Como Inn. And turtle soup at Binyon’s! And when Berghoff didn’t suck! And when Lincoln Avenue had a great selection of German joints! And between set Gene & Jude’s on Whale nights! And feeling up hot young dates in the catacombs at Come Back Inn!

I’m getting homesick for a time that doesn’t exist anymore. And that reminds me, I need to drag Kelly over to Ricobene’s for a breaded steak this trip if I can.

I grew up not too far from Come Back Inn!

    Carm’s Beef (Forest Park?)

    Little Europe on Ogden

    Mickey’s in Bellwood

    Hamburger Heaven on York

    Snagging salmon in Belmont Harbor

    The Polar Bear on Cermak

    Elm Roller Rink

    Kiddie Land

The list is endless. Very little is left.

Polar bear is still on Cermak. I live almost walking distance from there.

Novis on Ogden is a good classic Chicago beef place.

Lots of really good Mexican restaurants around Berwyn/North Riverside too.
