Thread: Monsoon Tactical Lucky 7’s barrel porting

  1. #21
Got my Lucky Sevens ported Q5SF yesterday and took it to the range today. Shot my personal best Bill Drill (1.71) and 3&2 (1.57) with it. It's very flat and soft. Much less abrupt than the Genghis Komp from Monsoon. This matches what they say in their material.

I've got a 34 Gen 4 that's not doing anything for me, so since I can have that done for just the cost of barrel work, I suppose I'll have to.

Shot another match tonight. Did some spring tuning. Installed a reduced power striker spring and a 15lb recoil spring w/ steel guide rod. Ammo used tonight was Norma 124FMJ.

    Man, that shoots FLAT.

I recently had a G19 ported by Monsoon with their "Helport" I believe. Very soft shooter. Put 200 rounds through it yesterday, had no issues at all and was quite pleasant.

Yep. I’m pretty happy with it. I’m gonna try to get out Saturday morning and do some side by side comparison b/t the Lucky 7s, the Afterburner and the PMM Ultra JTTC. Depends on the weather.

    The Helport looks pretty effective.

Let us know your results! I think I'll send a G48 for a Chunk or Hel Port, whichever they recommend.

Kinda skipped around to get the gist of the vid, but that is what I have heard and experienced(buddies gun) is that accuracy suffers especially with the trendy chunk ports.

For gaming I am meh, for a carry gun it’s not worth it IMO. I know it’s a fad and cool and stuff but people are better off just running their gun and spending the money on ammo. Who would of thought……..
