I've got a really bad Kahr itch right now and I'm looking for a K40 Elite. Does anyone own a black K40 Elite or know if one came from the factory that way? I found a few online but it's not a shop I have ever heard of.

Had a PM9 with DLC. That stuff was pretty nice as external coatings go. A bit slick, but less slick than it appears. Never had any serious issues with slingshotting a slide, even with gloves on.
As for the Kahr workmanship and customer service… Not a fan.
I had a blued K40 once upon a time. I don't remember any function issues, thought I didn't shoot it a bunch.
Blued Kahrs with rust if you look at them with moist eyes.
Kahrs are much better in 9mm than in .40.
